  2. Aloha!!! Thanks for posting photos of the new building, the dorms, as well as the curriculum! You are very unselfish that way, thinking of the next group of students in the process. You will become a very, very good doctor!

Btw, we just got our Letter of Acceptance yesterday!!! Looking forward to meeting you when we get there--that if, if they would even grant us some breathing space while in school! Sobrang ganda ng mga places sa Pilipinas (taob ang Hawaii), baka ma-distract ako from our studies. Hehehehe!

  3. Hi :) I just compared your photos with the curriculum they had posted last year (they no longer have the curriculum posted on their new website). There seems to be minor "course name" changes from 1st - 3rd year however the "course descriptions" for the fourth year have quite a bit of changes. For example, the 2.5 month medicine rotation doesn't indicate radiology or rehabilitative medicine anymore (the areas I am interested in). I guess they change it every year...I'll ask na lang when we get there if we could take electives, switch a few things around, etc., when we reach our 4th year. The last time I checked with them about this last year (before we even considered applying to DLSHSI), they seemed pretty flexible and said that we could do some of our other rotations elsewhere or even out of the country. May mga requirements kasi dito sa states for licensing and these include certain rotations (core clerkships, i.e. OB/GYN, Peds, Surgery, and Family Medicine...and even Psych) and a specific amount of clerkship hours during the 3rd and 4th years while in med school. Need to be proactively aware of these things now so that we don't have to remediate on a lot of things (or run into a jam) after graduation. Thanks, again :) I know I'm babbling already...excited lang kasi and anal-retentive hehehe :)

Hi anon! There are financial scholarships available, as well as externally funded scholarships. Yung financial scholarships, pwede mo icheck sa page nila for the requirements, may cut off lang ng income para makapag apply. For the externally funded scholarships, they change from time to time due to the availability ng funds, and sa donors. Try to call the admissions office and look for ms. Wendy for more info. :)
