Hi! Stumbled upon your blog. Love it! Question. Is it safe to go home late at night from school to your dorm? When I accompanied my daughter this week, I got scared. Lots of open spaces.:( My heart belongs to La Salle (yup! Lasalista ako) but if my daughter's wellness is at stake, ibang usapan na yun. Seriously, na excite ako when I learned that my daughter will finally learn the alma mater song. That is, if she chooses DLSHI.
Hi!!! Thanks so much for visiting my site! :) I really appreciate all the support! Btw, which dorm will your daughter be staying at?
I remember my mom asking the very same thing when we first came to La Salle, and during the parent's orientation, quite a lot of parents brought up this issue. It all came down to this: the school, and the city of Dasma can still provide the essentials needed for the secuirty of the students, but the student should also be aware and street smart about it.
I think every school has this problem, whether it be the schools in Manila, QC, or Dasma. :)
Based on my experience, its usually safe to go home at night because there are a LOT of students still hanging around, and since my group of my friends all live in the same dorm, we usually all go home together. And since I stay at Nicasia, the walk is just about 5minutes from the school to my dorm. :)
Some choose to study at school up until 12 midnight, or go to Starbucks to review, we would usually advise them to come home a little earlier, or at least humanap ng kasabay pauwi just to be on the safe side. :)
Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask. :)
Am familiar with your dorm but have not searched for any pa. I guess wag lang matigas ulo and insist on going home alone, she will be fine. Thank you.:)
woohoo!
